Day of Hope

In a climate where the news tells us daily that we should submit to cynicism, it can be so hard to be hopeful. The Day of Hope will feature 7 speakers (from politics, business, music, and art) at the Yarmouth High School auditorium to share stories about hope from their jobs and lives: where they find it, and how they use it to make a positive impact. Speakers will give 15-20 minute 'TED-Style' talks, and be available to answer questions at the end.

The speakers are:
- Cathy Breen, State Senator
- Eliot Cutler, former Gubernatorial candidate and entrepreneur
- Ethan Strimling, Mayor of Portland
- Jess Knox, CEO of Maine Accelerates Growth
- Leslie Silverstein, Director of Maine Immigration Attorneys
- Matthew Gagnon, CEO of Maine Heritage Policy Center
- Spencer Albee, Portland musician
