Virginia Beach Bee Club Basic Beekeeping
This class will help prepare you for the world of Honeybees. This 6 hour course will cover topics ranging from the basic equipment needed for both the bee and the beekeeper, honeybee biology and life cycle of the bees and the colony. How to keep and manage honeybees in your backyard to include: the basic costs of Equipment needed, being good neighbors with your bees, seasonal hive management, and hive products such as honey and wax. The class will help you avoid some of the pitfalls that new beekeepers have, and explain the different ways you can obtain honeybees. Highly experienced instructors. Course materials and snacks provided.
