Getting Started with Knitting - a 2-part workshop
Two Saturdays: September 30 & October 7 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm in the Small Meeting Room, Lower Level
Learn to knit at the library! In this two-part workshop, you will learn how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, increase and decrease stitches and read a knitting pattern. Youll receive one-on-one, hands-on instruction from Rita Gardner, knitting instructor, and will choose a project of your own (dishcloth, hat or scarf) to work on after the classes end. Students will need to bring a pair of knitting needles (US #9, 10" length). Ages 16 and up, please. Registration begins September 1. Cost: $7.50 for 2 classes.
