BackStory Youth Theatre presents Mary Poppins
One of the most popular Disney movies of all time is brought to life in this full-length musical adventure based on the books by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film. The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family where young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing. Through the combination of magic, common sense, and a "Spoonful of Sugar," the practically perfect Mary Poppins teaches the family how to value each other again.
Appropriate for audiences of all ages, this enchanting mixture of irresistible story, iconic songs and unforgettable dance numbers brings Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Tony-nominated Broadway musical to the Broomfield Auditorium.

BackStory Theatre is a Broomfield-based 501(c)(3) organization which, through its BackStory Theatre Academy, BackStory Youth Theatre, and BackStory Leadership Programme provides affordable theatre education and performance opportunities to local children, adults, and families. Building from the belief that performing arts should be an integral part of every thriving community and made possible through individual donations and generous grants (including 2016-2017 support from Broomfield Community Foundation, Broomfield Health and Human Services Department, Broomfield Arts, Culture, and Science Funding Program, and the Sheila Fortune Foundation) BackStory Theatre makes performing arts programs accessible to people from all economic backgrounds.
