Digital Control Challenges And How To Avoid Them

Synopsis:
The ways in which Direct Digital Controls are designed, priced, and installed today varies greatly from situation to situation, often resulting in last minute issues. This presentation aims to shine light on these issues in an attempt to streamline the design and construction processes. We will discuss the early stages of the design process including drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation. We will also look at situations that commonly result in scope gap and finger-pointing during installation.

Jim Szelenyi is a Building Automation Systems Account Manager at Pacific Coast Trane in Sunnyvale, CA. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering with an HVAC concentration from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. At Trane Jim focuses on working with customers to implement the newest generation of advanced DDC systems with a focus on sustainability and energy performance.
