Daughter - RHINOFEST 2013
We can explore the entire life of an old woman in one sitting, and in that one sitting, we can hope to find parallels to the entire world, as long as we admit just how small and empty that world is. A young woman getting her degree hopes to probe the psyche of an old, dying woman to support her theories of generalization, but she soon finds this woman's atypical life makes her immune to any thesis other than her own. Daughter is a thinly veiled reflection of philosophy, psychology, poetry, what human misery unveils and what death does not.
