Russell Malone Quartet
Russell Malone's masterful command of the guitar has placed him high on the roster of the artistic elite for over two decades. From Jimmy Smith to Harry Connick, Jr., Malone has accompanied the best. Influenced by B.B. King, George Benson, Charlie Christian and Wes Monterey, he was a key member of Diana Krall's trio from the '90s into the 2000s before partnering up with piano great Benny Green until 2007. In the past ten years, Malone has concentrated on leading his own groups, but he often teams up with other top artists, such as Ron Carter, Sonny Rollins or Bill Frisell for special concerts and recording projects. His excellent quartet features the talents of pianist Rick Germanson, bassist Luke Sellick, and drummer Willie Jones III.
