Heritage Farm Fare 2017
To celebrate our seasonal bounty, Methodist Services' Heritage Farm will host the 2017 Heritage Farm Fare. New this year: VIP Tasting Onsite at Appleford Estate plus Special Guests: Charles Parker, Executive Chef, Talula's Garden; Ben Wenk, Craft Brewer/Farmer, Ploughman Farm Cider; Adrian Galbraith-Paul, Farm Manager, Heritage Farm; small plates by Local 215; and signature cocktails by 13th Street Cocktails.
The Fare raises funds to support the ongoing operation of Methodist Services & Heritage Farm. Our largest single fundraiser of the year, the Farm Fare features local chefs who provide small plate offerings made from local ingredients.
Program Participants to Date: Amis Trattoria, Barr Hill by Caledonia Spirits, Fork, High Point Café, Local 215, Lost Bread Co, Ploughman Farm Cider, Pub and Kitchen, Russet, Saucony Creek Brewing & Gastro Pub, Talula's Garden, The Silverspoon, 13th Street Cocktails, Vetri, Watkin's Drinkery, and Weckerly's.
5-6 pm VIP Tasting
6-8 pm Farm Fare
There will be limited ticketing for the VIP portion of the evening.
Background: In 2011 Methodist Services revitalized 4 of its 22 acres to establish Heritage Farm, cultivating vegetables, flowers, berries and an orchard. Heritage Farm aims to create a sustainable, community based food system by growing and providing fresh produce and offering hands-on education and life skills to the families we serve. Investing in the soil is an ultimate investment in our families and communities.
