Dinner with Chef Aaron Apling-Gilman
Graduating with honors from the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon, Chef Aaron quickly rose through the ranks, achieving the title of Executive Chef/Restaurant Manager at River's Edge Resort in Fairbanks at age 26. He went on to work at fine restaurants in Arizona, New Mexico, and New York before returning home to Alaska.
Dealing with as many local purveyors and farmers as possible, Chef Aaron's goal is to establish a sense of place and broaden culinary horizons.
