Graywater is a low-cost, simple way to save money on your water bill and make your home resilient during droughts and our long, dry summers. The water that flows from your sinks, shower, and washing machine can be diverted to irrigate your yard. Come learn about common and popular graywater systems and how to choose a system that is a good match for your home and landscape
This class will cover:
* Overview of water supply system * Common types of systems and parts needed * Plant-friendly soaps and products * General costs & water-saving potential * Ways to reuse graywater (covers plumbing code) * Design considerations * Graywater resources
This graywater event is a collaboration between EBMUD, Ecology Center, and Greywater Action.
Class attendees may also wish to participate in a hands-on residential graywater installation, scheduled for 9/16/17 at a nearby residence.
