Rug Braiding Workshop at Landis Valley
Class by Janice Sonnen.
Braided rugs--a uniquely American craft--are an economical and environmentally friendly way to decorate your home. Take wool yarn and strips of fabric and, through a little planning and a lot of braiding, create a lovely and functional accent piece for your home. Learn the fundamentals of rug braiding and lacing the braids while making a round chair pad. Please bring scissors; everything else needed to complete the chair pad will be provided.
Optional: If you have Braid-Aids, Braid Klamp or Braidkin bring them along to class. Janice will bring some, too, and they will be available for purchase after the class.
