The Government Inspector
This play is a rollicking satire. Located in a provincial Russian town headed by Mayor Anton Antonovich, a collection of corrupt politicians and administrators feverishly attempt to cover up their misdeeds when they hear that a government inspector will arrive incognito to investigate the city! Mistaken identity, deception, and utter madness ensue as political leaders do their best to bribe their way out of a mess!
