Avante
Avante Vocal Jazz was founded in 2011 with the objective of fusing contemporary A Cappella with the art form of vocal jazz.
Based in Durham NC, the eight singers of Avante perform a unique repertoire ranging from contemporary choral works to cutting edge jazz with a modern flair. Routinely praised for its high standard of musicianship and unique arrangements, Avante tours the United States, appearing in concert, corporate venues and on college campuses. Avantes educational outreach provides workshops to students of all ages and boasts two nationally regarded clinicians within its membership.
