What is My Biopsy Result? The Role of a Pathologist on Your Healthcare Team
Effective treatment starts with the correct diagnosis. While primary care physicians are typically on the frontlines of healthcare examining patients, ordering tests and implementing treatments they oftentimes collaborate with pathologists to interpret the results and establish the best course of action. Pathologists are both scientist and physician, and use this combined knowledge to ensure patients receive the most effective care.
In this seminar, Dr. Kwon will explain what a pathologist is and the critical role they play in your healthcare.

Dr. MeeAe Kwon specializes in pathology. She received her medical degree from University of Nebraska College of Medicine, completed residency training at University of California Irvine, and a fellowship in blood banking/transfusion medicine at UCLA. Dr. Kwon is certified by the American Board of Pathology, and is an active member of the CMH medical staff.
