CR Bike Park Fundraiser with Rockaoke Live!
Interactive, exciting, and for a great local cause! Get on stage with an incredible band, sing your song, and raise money for a worth cause all at once! Don't want to sing? Challenge someone who does by pledging their talents to raise the $ instead!
Here's how it works...
1) The night of Sunday July 9 features three sets of songs of "live karaoke" or "rockaoke", Vancouver's The Naturals will act as the backing house band, along with their host-vocalist, Dr. Robert Downie Goulet.
2) The night's setlists are open signups for anyone to choose from the band's 500+ song menu. See here for the full list: http://www.rockaokelive.com/song-list.
3) If you find a song you want to sing at the event, please see your live karaoke host, Dr. Goulet, to bid on an available spot in person. Prices TBD, but minimum $10.
4) If you'd like to sign up in advance, you can make your donation online here on this site and select from our suggested songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. YOU CAN DONATE WHATEVER AMOUNT YOU WISH (with a $10 minimum, select quantity = "1")). You'll then be asked to select from the list when going through the checkout, or you can add a different song from the band's list.
5) If you don't want to sing yourself, you can simply donate online through this site, or in person at the event. You'll be prompted to let us know your name and song choice when going through the checkout, but disregard that. Instead, if you can select some songs off of our 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s list, it will help us custom tailor the show for the audience. Thanks!
6) You can also "pledge" someone you want to have sing a song, or have the band fill your request. Again, you'll be prompted to let us know the name of your pledge and suggested song when going through the checkout.
7) Top donations will be accepted online through this site and in person at the event. Dr. Goulet will put together the set lists for maximum entertainment. Proceeds will be donated to the Campbell River Bike Park Society: https://www.facebook.com/CRMountainBikeSkillsPark
8) Show up on the night of July 9th for the fun and entertainment! If you get us your song and donation, we'll have you on our VIP list and up on stage with a fantastic backing band!
