Luncheon with the Turkish Ambassador to the United States
The World Affairs Council will host Turkey's Ambassador to the United States, Namik Tan, for a luncheon discussion on US-Turkish relations and Turkey's assessment on regional issues.
Turkey's global leadership role is becoming increasingly more vital as the Middle East region is met with the challenges of political transition after the Arab Spring, violence in its border-state, Syria and increasing tension between Israel and its adversaries. It is also, therefore, ever more essential that the cooperative relationship between the United States and Turkey remain strong. What key factors will allow this to happen?
