Girdwood Fungus Fair Dye Workshop
This workshop will focus on the basics of lichen dyes and conservation methods for collecting in the wild. Particular attention will be given to the orchil dye lichens of Alaska which give various purple hues. Participants will also experiment with several other species of local lichens and fungi on wool and silk.
