A campy, communist-themed variety show hosted by Brooklyn-based performance artist Karl Marks, the KARL MARKS CHILDRENS HOUR features socialist leader puppetry lip synch, on-the-spot communist leader punning, dance movements inspired by socialist democracies, side-eyed readings from feminist lesbian archives, and live musical performances, lip synchs and sing-alongs of new and classic Socialist tunes like Hasta Siempre, Who Controls the Means of Production?, The Internationale, Petty Petit Bourgeoisie, and more. Come for the lessons; stay for the laughs.
