Opera in Cinema: Massenet's Cendrillon | Sunday, December 16 at 1:30 p.m. EST
Join us at the National Opera Center for an Opera in Cinema screening of Massenet's Cendrillon from the Royal Opera House, starring Joyce DiDonato in the virtuosic titular role and mezzo-soprano Alice Coote in the trouser role of Prince Charming. Dazzling runs and sparkling coloratura shimmer throughout the evening, with French music specialist Bertrand de Billy at the podium. OPERA America presents a pre-performance discussion at 1:30 p.m., followed by the opera screening at 2:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
