Robert and Sabrina Thomas had the perfect life. He was the number one prosecutor in Chicago and they had everything they could ever want and need. Sabrina was even smarter than Robert and they had an undying love for one another that seemed to grow stronger with each passing year. They had known one another their entire lives. They grew up in the same neighborhood and both were watched over and protected by Sal Pavino, Sabrinas godfather and local mafia boss. Some even believe that Sal orchestrated Sabrina and Roberts falling for one another. He loved Robert like a son and wanted to make sure he ended up with a great woman; and Sabrina was that great woman. Whether they were subconsciously guided towards one another or not, they were a dynamic duo, living a fairytale romance and had an unbreakable connection. Everything was perfect, until, Sal died suddenly.
With Sal out of the way past enemies and an enthusiastic criminal that wanted to take Sals place decided to go after the people that they knew meant the world to him, Robert and Sabrina. Their perfect world crumbled quickly as dark secrets were revealed about Roberts hidden troubled youth. Criminals and gangsters attacked them and the whole ordeal became nightmare that ended in multiple deaths, murder accusations and Robert and Sabrina believed to be dead; the victims of a violent explosion at Roberts office.
Detective Ramirez of the Chicago PD was the lead detective on the case. Although the DNA evidence shows that both Robert and Sabrina died in the explosion, Detective Ramirez just isnt buying it. Believing that his partner, detective Smith, had been compromised and helped Robert and Sabrina escape, Ramirez sets off a series of events that will either bring Robert and Sabrina out of hiding or ruin his career for good. Gangsters, sociopaths, cops, a high society lawyer and his wife and street wise younger brother all clash in this gritty street drama that shows just how fast life can change.
