Quattro MacJazz
Quattro MacJazz is a Dixieland quartet specialising in Hot Jazz and Gospel. Scotland's great entertainer, Alastair McDonald, returns to his roots with this ensemble, rejoicing in performing the great gospel and other songs from the Dixieland jazz era. Plays a mean banjo too. As Billy Connolly said once in a radio interview: "Alastair McDonald.. He's a REAL banjo player!"
The group is completed with Lennie Herd, Scotland's finest Dixie trumpeter, Hamish McGregor, Edinburgh's great clarinet player and vocalist and Roy Percy on bass, the most in-demand double bass player in the UK.
