3 fixed price courses exploring the flavors of Korea, Vietnam, and China. Course 1-Vietnamese meatball lettuce wraps. Pork and beef meatballs, toasted peanuts, herb salad, fresno peppers, fried shallot, nuoc mam, and lettuce. Course 2-dumpling soup. Pork "emperor" dumplings pan seared and served in a rich and savory consome of beef, lemongrass, ginger, and bonito. Scallions and lime. Course 3-Seasonal Bibimbap. Seasonal veggies, beef bulgogi, kimchee, sunny farm egg, gochujang and watercress sauce, black sesame, over steamed rice.
Optional dessert-Green tea mochi brulee with strawberry puree and cocoa nibs.
Jesse Smith is the chef at Pinkys Kitchen, a BBQ street food restaurant in Wallingford. A father of two and husband of 11 years. He also has a cooking show on Youtube called Deep Prep. He cooks comfort food professionally, but is strongly seated in the flavors of Asia in his home cooking. Asian food is a serious passion of his and he is delighted to bring it to you! His take on flavors from the east will leave you wanting more, in this 3 course menu from some of his favorite recipes. You will get to experience a different perspective on some Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese dishes for this dinner. Come along with us!
