Internationally acclaimed singer and song writer, Navasha Daya, will be sharing music from her debut solo musical project "Rebirthed Above Ground EP" with a live concert with her full band Friday, December 7th at The Eubie Blake National Jazz Institute and Cultural Center located at 847 North Howard Street in Baltimore, MD.
Navasha Daya will be performing live, engaging in conversation with the audience and signing her debut solo album. Cash bar and lite fare will be available at the event. Admission to the event is $10 in advance and $15 at the door per person. Cash and Credit cards will be accepted at the event.

Navasha Daya's Bio: A Baltimore transplant by way of Cleveland, Ohio, this singer, songwriter, and producer, is no stranger to the ears of many. Navasha Daya is internationally known as the lead singer and co-founder of Baltimore based Nu-Jazz group Fertile Ground. She has shared the stage with legendary greats such as Chaka Khan, Hugh Masekela, Earl Klugh, Joan Baes , Angelique Kidjo, Rachelle Farrell, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, India.Arie, Bilal, Common, Zap Mama, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Anthony Hamilton, and Cassandra Wilson to name a few. Her stage presence and resounding spirit filled voice has bellowed from stages throughout the world and has landed gently upon the ear drums of thousands of adoring music lovers. Navasha's pen has composed songs that have been remixed by some of the world's top DJ's and producers.
Navasha Daya's impact on the world reaches far beyond the stage and walls of the recording studio. Navasha is an artist with a purpose. Captivating audiences and winning the hearts of fans from Baltimore to Tokyo, Navasha offers healing through her lyrics, compositions and performances to a world in need of uplifting and change. On stage, she embodies the indigenous feminine spirit and inspires women throughout the world. Navasha is an artist who has evolved into a constellation of creative manifestations and shares her talent as a musician, songwriter, producer, entertainer, voice teacher, performing arts curator, certified healer, and social/ spiritual activist. She has been called an "astral soul goddess" by Mojo magazine and is internationally recognized as a breathtaking performer. Continuing the legacy of her cousin the late great Gil Scott Heron, and embodying the influences of the likes of Manu Dibango, Miriam Makeba, Bob Marley, and Phyllis Hyman, her dynamic live show fuses Fertile Ground classics along with new music from her solo album.
