Fox Lion Goat: A Fable Creation Cabaret
Aesop - if, indeed, he ever existed - is rumoured to have been a hideously ugly slave in Ancient Greece who won his freedom through clever storytelling, earning the respect of kings and city-states before his horrible death at the hands of the Delphians.
His fables are replete with harsh life lessons and extraordinary characters - and now, in a mind-bending warehouse in southwest Calgary, his stories will come to life.
For two weeks, the artists participating in Swallow-a-Workshop #8: A Fable Creation Experiment will push their creative boundaries, experimenting with a wild variety of creation techniques, culminating in a one-night-only cabaret extravaganza.
