Speak & Eat

Join us for an evening of cooking, dining and learning English as a second Language.

We will be cooking a two-course meal together and learning all the secrets behind creating a tasty English meal step-by-step. Meanwhile a teacher from Spen Languages will give you vocabulary tips and guide you through the class to develop your speaking skills. We will then take a seat around the table to chat, taste and enjoy the food!

This event is a collaboration between the Community Kitchen and Spen Languages:

Community Kitchen is based in Hamilton House and our focus is social outreach work. In collaboration with other Bristol organisations we run cookery courses and workshops with groups that might not otherwise have access to them.

Spen Languages is a locally run, affordable language school in Bristol, specialising in English & Spanish as a second Language.

Who the event is for:

This event welcomes anyone in the community who is learning English as a second language. It will be a mixed-level event ranging from low-intermediate level to high-intermediate level.

The event is NOT suitable for people who are fluent in English.
You must be 18 or over to attend this event (or 16-17 year olds can attend if accompanied by an adult).
