Plant Walk and ID for Herbalists
We'll explore Discovery Park learning about some of the many medicinal and edible plants there, such as Hawthorne, Doug Fir, Cedar,Roses, Red Elder, Maple, cleavers, False Solomon's Seal and so many more. Come prepared to get up close with the plants by looking, touching, smelling and tasting. We'll also learn which plants are toxic and should be avoided.
Bring a notebook and pen, water bottle and some scissors or clippers and small bags to take home some of what we find to prepare your own herbal mixtures.
