Coltura Presents Industrial Revelation, Bad Luck, and Lori Goldston in No Gasoline Concert
Coltura presents the worlds first No Gasoline concert on June 30 at 9 p.m. at Lo-Fi, 429 Eastlake Ave E., Seattle, featuring fusion supergroup Industrial Revelation, along with local musicians Bad Luck and Laurie Goldston, combined with projections from video artist Kevin Blanquies.
The No Gasoline concert will be a landmark in concert history, in that the musicians and the audience all will get to the concert without using gasoline. The musicians will be transported to the event with their gear by electric car. Audience members will get there by electric car, bus, bike, or on foot. Lo-Fi is well served by public transportation, including the #8 bus from Capitol Hill, the #40 from Ballard, the C Line from West Seattle, the #70 from U. District, and the 545 from Bellevue, among others. If the bus doesn't work for you, please email info@coltura.org, and we will try to arrange electric car service.
The No Gasoline concert sets a new green standard for cultural events, and proves that it is possible to get lots of people together without carbon impact.
"It's going to be a great concert, but like all other concerts, it is just not worth using gasoline to attend. After all, each gallon of gasoline we use puts 20 pounds of CO2 into the air. We want other cultural institutions in Seattle and around the world to set No Gasoline as the standard for getting people to their events," says Coltura Executive Director Matthew Metz.
Please do not use gasoline or diesel cars to get to the event.
