On the Road Tour - Grasses for the Masses
We will visit Bamboo Garden Nursery in North Plains, Oregon in the morning. They have over 300 varieties of bamboo planted on 20 acres, which can be walked or driven in a golf cart. Bamboo plants are available for purchase.
Well then drive to Urban Decanter in Forest Grove for a buffet lunch featuring various sandwiches, soups, and salads. There will be vegetarian options available. Wine will be available by the bottle or glass, as well as other beverages.
We leave Forest Grove to visit Blooming Nursery, a large wholesale nursery providing plants to many western states. Well get an overview of their operations which include cultivating over 2200 species of ornamental grasses, annuals, perennials, and shrubs.
Their operations are powered in part by solar power. Well end the day with a visit to Blooming Junction Nursery, where a variety of grasses and other plants are available for purchase.
