The Tempest at NHS
The Tempest, Shakespeare's final play, follows the tribulations of a group of sailors washed up on the shore of a mysterious island. Alonso, the King of Naples, and his scheming noblemen Sebastian and Antonio, journey to find Alonso's son, Ferdinand. Meanwhile, the hopeless drunkards Trinculo and Stephano attempt to take over the island with the help of the hideous monster Caliban. These misadventures are overseen by the elderly Prospero, a powerful wizard who uses great magic (and the help of his trusty assistant Ariel) to correct a great injustice from long ago. Tragedy, comedy, romance- The Tempest has it all, in this funny and faithful production at Northampton High School. Directed by Isaac Bayne
