Sheldon Universe at the Parodos Festival
A nearly 90-minute show with non-stop entertainment. Sheldon Universe originals & covers performed live by a 10 piece band featuring a horn section with Brownman (Missy Elliot, Jay-Z, Nelly Furtado) and highlighting some of Ryerson's very own dancers.
The performance will use the Student Learning Centre as a venue, transforming the multi-level seats to a stage and offering the main floor as an area of dance and performance.
It will start with chairs and a comfortable environment to sit back and enjoy the show, and will end with the opportunity for all to enjoy the art of dance and music. As an opportunity for deaf persons there will be a vibrotactile-chair location where audience members can sit and enjoy the vibrations of the music for a different experience altogether.
The music visits many genres: 'Feel Good', Pop/R&B, Funk/Dance, Latin/Reggae, Soul. All songs are written, composed, and produced by Sheldon Universe. These originals will be mixed with some live arrangements of popular tunes made famous by the likes of Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake amongst others throughout the night.
