| | EventoPacific Wildlife Care - the story, the work, the outcomes -- Virginia FlahertyThis course is limited to 10 people so it will be offered twice to allow 20 people to enroll. Monday June 26, 2017 10am - 1pm
Pacific Wild Care Center in Morro Bay
 $5 for LLCC members, $10 for non-members

Come and see what the Pacific Wildlife Center (PWC) does at the wildlife clinic. Animal rehabilitator Virginia Flaherty will show you wild animals, and describe the various paths they take during their time at the wildlife clinic, demonstrating  how PWC cares for,  houses, rehabilitates, and finally releases wild animals back into their natural habitats.

FYI, Pacific Wildlife Care rescues orphaned, injured, sick and oiled wildlife in San Luis County.

From its beginnings 30 years ago with a few dedicated home based volunteers, PWC has grown into a sophisticated wildlife care center with a full time Wildlife Veterinarian, Center Director and Rehabilitation Technicians, as well as over 100 active and dedicated volunteers.

Virginia Flaherty has been a member of PWC since 2004.  She began caring for seabirds in her home, then became a supervisor when the Center was established and is currently a Rehabilitation Technician.  As a member of the PWC Education Committee she houses Misty, a Western Screech Owl at her home in Los Osos.
