Performance Program

Alice in Wonderland is performed by SpectorDance school dancers and is an original interpretation of the beloved classic novel by Lewis Carol. With music, integrated spoken word, and vibrant costumes, this piece is a playful portrayal of a girl's coming-of-age journey.

Playground is inspired by the music by Chick Corea and is about the joys of childhood.

Paint the Roses Red is a new hip-hop piece inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

Excerpts from Ocean Trilogy (premiering in fall 2017) is performed by SpectorDance school dancers along with outstanding SpectorDance Company dancers. Based on interviews with renowned ocean experts, this piece looks at both the challenges facing our ocean and hopeful possibilities for ocean health from cutting-edge ocean science research. Ocean Trilogy, a collaboration between SpectorDance and the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, aims to explore ways that dance can communicate ocean science, promote dialogue, and inspire the next generation of ocean stewards.

The Silent Auction features stunning art, gift baskets, jewelry, gift certificates, and more!
