OHAYO OHIO Shodo (calligraphy) demonstration and workshop
Come to hear calligraphy expert Tomoko Hetherington explain Sho (a letter or letters created by ink and brush) as a practical communication tool and as artistic expression. You will learn the basic four styles of Sho: Kai-sho, Gyo-sho, So-sho, and Kana; as well as "free-style," which resembles western abstract painting. Tomoko will demonstrate these styles, then guide you in experimenting with these various styles. This event is free and open to the public.
