Let There Be Music!
St. Louis' Cabaret Powerhouse, Christy Simmons, brings her bent for storytelling and her rich musical talent to Third Baptist Church (Grand and Washigton), to raise funds for the church's CityArt program, which pays for musical and art instruction for inner city kids. Christy will be joined by Paul Westcott on piano, Dave Troncoso on bass, and Clancy Newell on drums. This is the same trio that backed Christy for her highly successful show, "Count Your Blessings: A Tribute To Rosemary Clooney" at The Missouri History Museum, at the beginnning of October. Audience members will be treated to selections from The Great American Song Book,jazz standards, and maybe a showtune or two. Please join Christy to support this great cause!
