He is the tyrant, born of vodou prophecy and dark magic, and in the mountains of Haiti, bloody Macbeth will hold his fortress at any cost. Gritty City Repertorys Macbeth is inspired by the rise of Henri Christophe, Haitian revolutionary and king, his descent into madness, and his eventual tragic downfall.
