Cannabis and Spirituality: Talks & readings by authors of a thought-provoking new book
Occidental Center for the Arts, Botanical Dimensions
Occidental, CA
Partager cet événement :

*Cannabis and Spirituality: An Explorer's Guide to an Ancient Plant Spirit Ally* is the title of a thought-provoking collection of essays. Editor-Author Stephen Gray and contributing author Kathleen Harrison will read from their writings. They'll each give talks about the perceived spirit of this plant that has so much influence on our culture, and various spiritual practices in our relationship to it.

Martin A. Lee, author of the award-winning Smoke Signals: A Social History of Cannabis, will present his views on the topic.

The presenters will read, offer talks on the topic, and join in on-stage conversation with each other first, then with the audience.

Come join us for this unique afternoon event in Occidental. Spend a beautiful spring day in West Sonoma County. Visit the adjacent Ethnobotany Library that Botanical Dimensions maintains, to peruse many fine books about plants, cultural beliefs, herbal medicine, mushrooms, mythology and much more.
