The Rocky Horror Picture Show in ASL

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a cult classic film that is known for its passionate fans showing up to a movie theater to act out the entire show in front of the screen. Every Friday and Saturday for the last 40 years, you could be sure to find Rocky Horror being performed somewhere in the world, with productions ranging from audience members re-enacting the show to elaborate productions with a rehearsed cast, flashy costumes, and fabulous props.

Our production lives somewhere in the middle of that.

Meet, ASL Rocky NYC.

Our show is performed completely in American Sign Language (ASL) with Deaf and hearing actors in front of the movie playing on a screen. The film will play with captioning alongside our signing actors. To make our rendition a more visual experience, we use real choreography, real props, and real costumes. This creates a better Deaf experience, and a super fun show!

SHOW INFORMATION

Ticket sales begin on March 11th at 9:00am, and will close 1 hour before each performance.
There will not be any ticket sales at the door, please purchase your tickets in advance.
Concessions and merchandise will be available for purchase in the lobby.
