Apotheosis
Apotheosis by Matthew Amendt directed by Jeremey Catterton
Apotheosis is a contemporary story of violence, love, regret, and ghosts told through the eyes of history's greatest fighter, lover, and killer, Alexander the Great. This world premiere play offers its audience a chance to be thrilled and challenged in equal measure, as its story marries a Classical sensibility with a Contemporary pursuit: re-investigating our conceptions of the strong standing for the weak. Apotheosis details exactly what happens when two Gods meet a Demon, and what it costs us, when we take what isn't ours.
