REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED, FOR THOSE WHO HAVE REGISTERED PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING:
If you are an organization, your selected point person that registered the number of individuals that will be attending Immigrant Day, commits to:
1) Engage via email with Immigrant Day coordinators to finalize their organization's participation, and
2) Attend the Immigrant Day training offered in their region. We strongly encourage and welcome all participants to attend the trainings. Training details will be shared via email.
I. LEGISLATIVE VISITS & ADVOCACY TRAININGS
Coordinators will be in touch with point persons to finalize a list of visit facilitators and visit assignments. Assignments will be based only on the registrant's constituency. Legislative advocacy trainings will be offered to review the Immigrant Day policy platform, discuss key talking points, and more. Facilitators for visits are responsible for the following: (Prep Facilitation) Participants will meet in front of the leg office 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled time. Please take this time to coordinate who will speak on what issue and in what order. (Leg Visit Leadership) Help direct/keep the visits focused if the conversation starts to veer. Assign or play timekeeper as many visits are likely to have multiple participants. (Report Back Forms) Complete a Report Back form (part of Visit packet provided by CIPC).
II. BUS TRANSPORTATION
For those that purchased bus tickets only or lunch/bus tickets either you or your organization's point person will be contacted regarding the pick-up location & time for your respective area no later than Wednesday, May 10, 2017.
