Paper Grrrls: Girls and Comics (Ages 8-16)

CLASS Description: MARCH 5th
The theme of our first meeting is Zodiac Starforce, by Kevin Panetta and Paulina Ganucheau. Zodiac Starforce is about a group of teenage girls with magical powers who have sworn to protect our planet against dark creatures... as long as they can get out of class! We will be creating our own versions of these heroes you can draw your character, design their costume, write a story, and even build props with craft supplies we'll be providing.
PAPER GRRRLS SOCIETY BIO:
Paper Grrrls Society is a club for girls, non-binary, and genderqueer people ages 8-16 where we talk about women in comics, go on field trips, create zines, and foster a love for reading and creation. We strive to create a safe space within the comics community, and want to share our love of reading and art among budding writers, artists, and readers.
