Workshop with Erin Cotton
Improve your spoken word poetry writing and performance in a workshop series presented by the Victoria Poetry Project!
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: Bodies are weird. In this workshop learn new ways to talk about the human body while improving your on stage physical performance. Through a combination of games, writing exercises and performance practice, Erin Cotton will teach you new skills and perspectives to help enliven your creative practice.
This workshop is accessible to everyone, but also provides original and challenging material for experienced poets and performers.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP LEADER: Erin Cotton is an ocean of gay. She is slowly eroding the rock of patriarchy through her performances at shows like the Big Gay Cabaret, Sirens Echo and Victoria Pride in the Word. She's a two timing slam champion with one too many poems about genitalia. Super queer and super weird, she'll bring all the absurdist sexual politics you can handle.
