Event
Souvenir at Bridge Street Theatre
Its 1932 and Florence Foster Jenkins, a wealthy socialite with a dubious sense of pitch, meets a mediocre pianist named Cosmé McMoon, and the two team up. Their bizarre partnership leads to a series of hilariously off-key recitals that become the talk of the town, culminating in a standing-room-only concert at Carnegie Hall. This two-character play with incidental music is both hysterically funny and, ultimately, enormously touching. Directed by Flo Hayle, and featuring diva Alison Davy and pianist Jay Kerr.
