February Third Thursday Cabaret
This February - beat the blues by bringing your beautiful selves to our bountiful Cabaret! Love is in the air, don't bother denying all that lovey wub wub, come out and celebrate it with us because we wub you.
Raw, experimental and uncurated, yet bewilderingly entertaining every time The Third Thursday Cabaret is a showcase of Vancouvers theatrical explorers, building on the breakdown of that invisible fourth wall. Hosted by the Dusty Flowerpot in our cozy studio theatre at the back of "The Artiste" building; you'll never know what's coming up next!
In January we were delighted by ukelele performances both beautiful and raunchy, Vancouver Puppet Theatres heavy-drinking Shakespeare-spouting body puppet, Broadway-style dance with a twist, masterbatory bouffonery, mimerific improv, spoken word ephemery, a whole 3-piece band with a companion puppet video, and more. You too can perform; find sign up info below.
We are using a sliding scale ticket price, in order to reach our goals of inclusivity and bringing more of you into the theatre. When youre a member of the DFC, you can Pay What Youre Able, $5 - $20. If youre a first timer, $12 online tickets are the best way to go, or $15 at the door buys your membership AND a snazzy card to show us next time.
Check out our new Dusty Jams: first Thursday of the month to complement the Cabaret! A space to play in preparation to present at the Cabaret.
