Wiggles and Giggles

Wiggles and Giggles brings together some of the most respected belly dancers in the Bay Area and some dudes who make their living saying stupid (and insightful... let's go with insightful) things on stages all over the country.

This one of a kind event is all about movement, laughter, rhythm... There's a good chance you'll be a little sore the next day. The good kind of sore. Even if you never get out of your chair.

Hala (www.haladance.com) - Praised not only for the authenticity of form and style but also for the immaculate rhythm of her choreographies, Hala, a native of Egypt, has risen to be one of the most authentic dancers today. Her performances are captivating with a lot of passion and energy. Hala performs and teaches her native art all over the world and leads dance tours to Egypt.

Natika (www.natikastar.com) - Natika is an award winning performer, instructor and choreographer. Her career started in Russia where she performed as a member of Dance Company, presenting Russian Gypsy and Indian styles. Natika is a frequent attendant for workshops in the U.S. and worldwide and participant at many U.S. festivals and competitions. Performances with Natika are always a lot of fun and energy giving. NATIKA is The Tribal Soloist Of The Year 2011 and Specialty-Champion at Belly Dancer Of The Universe 2012.

Orchid Dance - (www.orchiddance.com) - Orchid Belly Dance is an award-winning, professional performance company. A dynamic and versatile group of dancers, they perform modern belly dance fused with cabaret/burlesque, hip-hop, flamenco, ballet, salsa, Bollywood, and Polynesian dance. In addition, they offer variety acts that are as comedic as they are seductive, and to a wide variety of music. They have appeared with artists such as Red Hots Burlesque, Naach Bollywood Dance Company, and Mona Sampath,and with live musicians such as The Fishtank Ensemble, and Mo' Rockin Project.

Phil Johnson (www.PhilJohnsonComedy.com) - Being human is a constant struggle between defining ourselves as individuals and trying to fit in with "the group"... Phil Johnson, who has appeared at the Sundance Film Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, uses comedy and music to dissect that dilemma in both his own life and others.

Phil Johnson, like everyone else, sometimes gets it and sometimes wonders what the heck people are thinking. On stage his playful humor and likeable, endearing manner allow him to shake things up without antagonizing the audience. In the end we can only be who we are, try to understand others, and hope they understand us.

Tim Babb (www.tancast.com/tim) - To be funny, Tim Babb doesn't need to be dirty, he finds it more fun to be nerdy. As a multiracial new father obsessed with Disneyland, Star Trek, and the internet, Tim brings his own unique perspective to the stage. Before moving to Los Angeles, Tim Babb began his career as an air personality on Mix 106.5FM in San Jose, California. Doing stand-up for so many years in the shadow of San Francisco resulted in an act that takes the edge of the big city and combines it with the geek factor of the Silicon Valley and adds the energy of a human cartoon. Tim's not trying to change the world, he just wants to make it laugh.one audience at a time.

Ben DelCastillo - Ben is one of San Jose's hottest up and coming comedians. He performs regularly at the San Jose Improv and brings his unique view of life as a Filipino American in San Jose to the stage.

Due to some of the comedians' potty mouths, parental discretion is advised.
