Blueberry Gardens - A 2 hour outdoor workshop.
Blueberries are among a popular fruit to grow in the home garden. They are healthful and well suited to grow in our New England conditions.
This outdoor hands-on workshop on pruning blueberries will help anybody already growing or ready to plant blueberries. Among the most popular fruits to grow in the home garden, they produce best when pruned properly. The class includes a demonstration to identify diseased wood, beneficial insect signs and a discussion on pruning methodology and approach. Then participants will go hands-on in small groups to prune with an expert and ask questions. Participants will get extensive hands-on pruning time until comfortable and confident with the process.
