Golden Shovel Launch Party
The NYC Launch Party for The Golden Shovel Anthology: New Poems Honoring Gwendolyn Brooks will feature a short talk by editors, Peter Kahn, Ravi Shankar and Patricia Smith, and readings of Golden Shovel poems by over twenty area poets including National Book Award winner Jean Valentine and Pulitzer Prize winner Gregory Pardlo. The anthology features poems following the Golden Shovel form created by Terrance Hayes, who wrote the foreword for the anthology.Terrance Hayes will also be reading.
