The Mini-Nutcracker
Centennial Youth Ballet will present The Mini-Nutcracker in The Harpeth Hall School's Davis Auditorium the first weekend in December. Sponsored by Friends of Metro Dance and the Dance Division of the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, this production has become one of Nashville's most popular holiday traditions for families with young children.
Designed to introduce children to ballet as performance art, The Mini-Nutcracker is an abbreviated, narrated version of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite Ballet. Centennial Youth Ballet's accomplished dancers perform the shortened scenes and variations with poise, precision and polish. Lavish sets and beautiful costumes enhance the classical movement and spectacular staging.
The Mini-Nutcracker offers Nashville families the opportunity to begin the holiday season in exhilarating style.
