Educational Tasting Dinner
Roots Handmade Pizza, on behalf of The Fifty/50 Group, and Goose Island Brewing are teaming to present an amazing educational tasting dinner featuring Bourbon County Stout and more! Our dinner will be taking place on Monday, February 20th at 7PM at the Roots Handmade Pizza at 1924 W Chicago Ave, in Chicago. Tickets for the event are on sale now for $80 a guest (including gratuity, tax additional) and are available for purchase at brownpapertickets.com. Included are tasting pours of varied sizes of the following Goose Island brews, 2016 Bourbon Country Stout (BCS), 2016 BCS Barleywine, 2016 BCS Proprietors, 2016 BCS Coffee, from the Sour Sisters series 2016 Juliet and 2016 Madame Rose. Purchasing a ticket will allow you to get the first tastings of these amazing beers before we open it up to the public at our bar at 8PM 2/20.
Along with the amazing brews from Goose Island, Advanced Cicerone and Retail Development Manager for Goose Island Beau Forbes will be on hand to give us all a little history and education on the BCS and Sour Sister series. Roots Handmade Pizza will be providing a food spread included in the ticket price featuring our award-winning mozzarella sticks, Quad Cities-inspired pizza, a snack from Chef Scott Shulmans Homestead on the Roof, and cakeballs for dessert from our sister restaurant West Town Bakery.
If you cant make it to the dinner dont worry, both Roots locations (West Town and Lincoln Square) will be featuring a dedicated draft line to amazing Goose Island beer all month long. We also will be featuring $4 312 cans and $6 Sofie and Matilda bottles all month long at both locations.
