Are you working with youth you suspect have been exposed to or have witnessed one or more of the following?
Abuse: physical, sexual, psychological Household dysfunction: Substance abuse, parental separation/divorce, mental illness, battered mother, or criminal behavior Neglect: emotional, physical.
If so, this is training is for you!
Together wecan learn and teach the resilience needed to thwart the negative impacts of adverse childhood experiences. Youth exposed to trauma struggle mightily in their daily lives to "belong." Teaching resilience and identifying where resources are that not only supports resilience, but helps us to identify how we can best help vulnerable youth with:
1. Strength based planning 2. Identifying and utilizing resilience 3. Going beyond the youth, identifying supports 4. Empower first, engage second.
