Black History Soul Food Dinner * SOLD OUT*
Join us for a soul food dinner at the Goodman Community Center as we honor Ms. Milele Chikasa Anana, longtime publisher of UMOJA Magazine. Goodman and the African American community are honoring Milele for all the positive work she does not only with UMOJA, but with the entire Madison community.
Judge Everett Mitchell will present a proclamation regarding Ms. Anana's achievements, followed by a spoken word performance by artist Zhalarina Sanders and singing by the Mt. Zion Livites Choir. Madison postmaster Robert Sheehan unveil the newly release Dorothy Height stamp at this event.
Tickets are $25.
Soul Food Menu - Baked Chicken or Fried Catfish - Spaghetti or Mac & Cheese - Collard Greens with smoked turkey or Corn on the Cob - Corn Bread or Dinner Roll - Sweet Potato Pie or Bread Pudding
